Gwen Stefani has chopped $6 million off the price of her lavish Beverly Hills compound and is now asking $29 million.
The former No Doubt lead singer discounted the gated, multi-building estate—which pop star Jennifer Lopez also once called home—on Tuesday after trying to sell it for more than a year, according to listing records.
Ms. Stefani, 48, listed the megamansion dubbed “The Summit” in January 2017 for $35 million. Before that, she had quietly shopped the home around as a whisper listing, Mansion Global previously reported.
The singer-songwriter has owned the property for more than a decade, buying the sprawling home with her ex-husband, rocker Gavin Rossdale, in 2006 for $13.25 million through a private trust, according to property records.
The home’s vibrant, contemporary interiors mirror the pop star’s quirky public image. She hired designer Kelly Wearstler to craft the mansion’s loud, pattern-filled interiors, according to the listing with Stephen Shapiro of Westside Estate Agency and Jade Mills of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage. Mr. Shapiro declined to comment. Ms. Mills wasn’t immediately available for comment.
The main mansion opens into a dramatic foyer inlaid with an abstract splash of black and white marble. The living room centers around a floor-to-ceiling black marble fireplace and magenta couch.
She’s also lined the walls of her walk-in closet and master bathroom with a clash of black and gold stone.
Outside, the home has a pool, tennis court and outdoor bar. A second building on the property is configured as a gym, images of the home show.
Ms. Lopez owned the home from 2000 to 2004, Mansion Global previously reported. It’s no surprise it’s been a go-to celebrity refuge, as it sits behind two gates and a 250-foot drive.
A rep for Ms. Stefani did not immediately return request for comment.
